Lots of good things have been happening lately. I haven’t really talked about it, but since you all were with me through all the bad, you should definitely get to hear about all the good as well.
In February I finally went 40 hours a week at my day job, with the accompanying increased income. That means that as of March 1 we are officially off of any kind of assistance. It was such a relief to know that we can finally pay all our own bills again!!
Boo has moved out with her girlfriend. They are renting a house with some friends. Boo is still a barista. She checks in with us regularly. Art and I went to lunch with her two weeks ago.
Bud had sinus surgery at the beginning of the year. After his recovery, he started applying for a few jobs. His dream is to be a botanist, but he wanted to get some work under his belt before he went back to school. He was excited when he heard that the California Conservation Corps was hiring. The corps was looking for someone to help out in the native plant greenhouse. Bud interviewed and within 3 days he was on his way to CCC boot camp.

While Bud was going through his CCC interview and bootcamp, Art was in Oregon. His mom had open heart surgery and Art took the bus up to help his parents through the surgery and recovery.
Soon after Art got home he got a new sales job. Willow’s nanny job had ended, but she just found a new job with a six month old starting next week. For the first time ever we are ALL employed!!
With all this good news comes a lot of adjustment since it all happened so fast. But we can do it. We’ve come this far and are so thankful for all God’s blessings.
How lovely to read about so many good things in one post. I’m delighted for you all.
