Short post – but since I haven’t posted an update in more than six months, I thought I should keep myself accountable and let you know where I stand.
By October of 2013 I was down 28 pounds. I held that loss all through the holidays and then the week after New Year’s I gained about 8 pounds. Ugh!! Too much travelling and relaxing with family and friends and not enough calorie tracking or exercise!! I have lost 4 pounds already and am starting off this year (I start with the Winter 5% Challenge on
Sparkpeople, which started yesterday), I am at 152.4.
My short-term goal is to lose 8 pounds over the next 8 weeks. My longer term goal is to be down to 130 by August of 2014 (that’s about 22 pounds).
How I plan to reach my goal:
- Tracking food and exercise!!!
- Squeeze in as much exercise as I can in a day but a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio 3 days a week and 3 days of strength training a week plus my one day of yoga.
- Stay within my calorie limits 6 out of 7 days a week.
- Continue to cut portion sizes and bulk up on fruits and vegetables.
