My Dishes Get A Platinum Presentation Thanks to Cascade #MyPlatinum #Sponsored

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

For 20+ years of marriage, I was the main dishwasher in our house.  I taught Boo and Bud to load and unload the dishwasher from an early age, but I was always the backup.  I admit, I’m a bit of a haphazard washer and loader.  I prayed for the day when I could just throw dirty dishes in the dishwasher, turn it on and walk away.

After Art lost his job he offered to be chief dishwasher, and may I say, he is very good at it.  Art’s philosophy on dishwashing is quite a bit different from mine.  He soaks, scrubs, washes and rinses every dish before he puts it in the dishwasher.  His belief has always been that a dishwasher is for sanitizing, not for cleaning.

For me, the most exciting claim Cascade makes about their Platinum Pacs is that they eliminate the need to pre-wash dishes”. That’s because they have increased enzyme power for better tough food cleaning.

Since I started Recipe Wednesday on the blog, I have come to realize how important sparkling clean dishes are for an attractive food presentation.  Top Chef judge and editor of Food +Wine magazine, Gail Simmons, has partnered with Cascade to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation.

Cascade is sponsoring the “My Platinum” Instagram contest where you can show off how sparkly Cascade makes your pots, pans, and plates!!  Just go to the My Platinum contest page for information on how to enter and submit images.  Each week, two contestants will be selected to receive a brand new Whirpool dishwasher.  In addition, one grand prize winner will receive a Platinum kitchen makeover valued at $10,000!!  Contest runs until June 30th, so don’t delay!!

Just so you can see the results, here is a pot of spaghetti that I convinced Art not to prewash before he put it in the dishwasher:

  1. Sadly I don’t yet have a dish washer 🙁 But my mom does and she is always complaining that her current product does not work I will have to tell her about Cascade!!

  2. I love Cascade! We haven’t tried the Platinum yet, but after seeing your before & after pics I will definitely be making the switch. =)

  3. WOW,is my response!!!I have nearly ruined several pots over the years and hate having any around with old “crud”baked on them.
I would love a product such as the Cascade Platinum, with one very important caveat;it MUST be bio-degradeable!We are on a septic system and try very hard to be mindful of what goes into the system.Just as soon as a product comes out that has this type of cleaning power and is bio-degradeable,I’ll be in line to purchase it.Hummmmm, maybe in the meantime,I’ll send Teressa home with my crudy pots and pans, teeeheeee.
