My Review:

It’s no secret that I suffer from anxiety (Comfortable In My Own Skin, Ripples and Aftershocks, Anxiety Triggers). I have a lot of tools in my arsenal and have dealt well with my anxiety for quite a few months.

However, since we recently moved to a town where we know very few people, in a different state, I’ve recently felt anxiety raising its ugly head again. No panic attacks yet, but if I don’t get it under control soon, I’m sure they’ll be returning.

I was thrilled when Darlene Berkel asked me to review her Anxiety Workbook for Women and 30 Day Anxiety Bust Through Program.  I can use all the help I can get!!

Here are some of the things I really like about this program:

  1. Darlene has suffered from anxiety herself and figured out strategies that worked for her.
  2. The program includes 30 days of emails that build on each other to help you determine your own path through anxiety.
  3. Daily assignments help you reset your focus (since obsessing about problems is one of the things that triggers anxiety)
  4. Darlene gives you daily routines to choose from to help with better self care and awareness.
  5. Reflections and affirmations to help you redirect your thoughts.

I haven’t finished the program yet, but I am looking forward to every new day as I am discovering new ways to deal with my anxiety. The assignments don’t take very long, and they are well worth it!!

My Review:

I was intrigued by the idea of cooking Asian food in my slow cooker.  I use my slow cooker all the time (Five Easy Crockpot Recipes, Slow Cooker Short Ribs), but I had never used it to cook any kind of Asian food.

I tried the recipe for Sweet and Sour chicken, but substituted a pork tenderloin:

The meal turned out so tender and flavorful. My family loved it!! This recipe was a huge hit and I will be sure to make it again. The directions were easy to follow and I didn’t have to adjust any times.

With categories as diverse as Ditch the Takeout, 5 Ingredients or Less, One Pot & Skillet, Skip The Stove-Top, Fiery Favorites, Meatless Mondays, Sensational Soups and Delectable Desserts, we will have new recipes to try for a long time to come!! I think I will try Lemon Chicken next, followed by Summer Rolls with Glazed Brown Sugar Pork and Mandarin Orange Cheesecake.
