Currently I am participating in a Bible Study about hospitality.  Hospitality is not my spiritual gift, so I really appreciate all the helpful tips I’m learning in this study.

One of the tips I learned is to always keep little presents and/or gift cards on hand for those unexpected occasions. That moment when you just want to cheer up a friend, or you have a guest drop in from out of the blue.

Staples just made it easier to stock up on those hospitality gift cards. Starting 4/23/17 until 4/29/17 you can get a $20 Staples gift card by rebate when you buy $300 or more in Mastercard gift cards.

If you’re like me, you don’t just want to hand someone a gift card by itself (or even in the envelope it came in). Here are some cute ideas for dressing up gift cards:

This cutie took me about 15 minutes to make! You can get all the information over at Anastasia Marie Paper Creations.

A coin purse like this would be a great gift card holder.  You can type “personalized coin purse” into your favorite search engine to find one of the many sites that will help you upload a photo and customize a coin purse for your friends’ gift cards.

This is a little gift card/business card holder that I made up on my smallest knitting loom.  It is 22 rows long. After I finished the rows, I picked up the bottom of the tube and put the loops onto the loom from the inside. Then I took the bottom loops and lifted them up over the top loops to lock in the stitches.

Next, I removed the single loops that were left. I flattened the tube and using a needle and yarn, sewed between opposite loops to close the bottom of the tube. Then I tied off and cut the leftover yarn.

The best thing about this little holder is it’s flat on the bottom, so you can stand it up on a desk or table. Also, it looks like a tiny upside down hat! 😉
