Review #FashionistaEvents #sponsored reviewSince I have been working full-time for the past two years, I have been working on my fashion sense.  Part of that learning process involves acquiring more statement jewelry.  I have already purchased and/or received a few pieces of costume jewelry and some nice bracelets, but I needed a necklace for everyday.

I was thrilled when the people at asked me to review a piece of their jewelry.

About the Product:

oNecklace is an international jewelry manufacturer, that deals exclusively with customized name necklaces. Inspired by the concept of personalized nameplate pendants, they opened our doors to the world in 2001 and have been creating beautiful and fashionable customized jewelry.

As I browsed the website I was a little overwhelmed by all the beautiful choices.  oNecklace offers plated or pure sterling silver and pure gold or gold plated necklaces, rings, bracelets and jewelry, most of which can be customized with one or more names.  I thought about getting my name on a necklace.  That style is very popular these days, and since my name is spelled differently than usual, it would be cool to have one.  I also thought about getting a mother’s necklace with the names of my kids.

Finally, I settled on the Sterling Silver Two Hearts Swarovski Crystal with Two Names.  I lost my wedding ring many years ago and this piece seemed like a special way to show my love for Art.

My Review:

The ordering process was very easy.  I just had to give both of our names and the birth month for each.

When the box arrived in the mail I was surprised at how beautifully it was packaged: reviewInside the gift bag was a certificate of authenticity and a cute little box, with the same logo as the gift bag.  I opened up the box and took out the beautiful necklace inside. reviewThe necklace chain is so delicate looking, but very strong.  The hearts are sweet and simple, intertwined.  One heart reads “Arthur” with a ruby-colored Swarovski crystal and the other reads “Teressa” with an Aquamarine Swarovski crystal.

I couldn’t wait to try on this beautiful necklace.  I had to wait to wear it to work until I was wearing something plain that would really show it off: reviewYou can see the detail better in the title photo, but look how simple and elegant.  It would go with almost anything, dressy or casual.  I plan to wear this necklace most days to remind me of 27 years of marriage with my wonderful hubby.

My Review:

My biggest problem with the PKB was figuring out what material to put inside it.  You can see my video review below for all the problems I had there, LOL.  Finally I settled on play sand ($4.99 for a 5 lb. bag at most home improvement stores).  The sand worked really well.  I figured out that the top weight shown on the outside of the kettlebell is the full weight using sand.  So my top weight would be 15 pounds.  I filled mine to about 10.5 pounds, which is a manageable weight for me.

This kettlebell is very secure.  I flung it around, swung it over my head and upside down, and it never spilled a single grain of sand.  I was impressed by how secure it is.  I also found out I really enjoy working out with a kettlebell.    I did a google search and found some basic kettlebell exercises and they were fun.  It was a great workout for me.

I had been looking forward to travelling with the Portable Kettlebell.  I thought it would be easy to empty it, pack it in a suitcase, and fill it with water at my final destination.  After a small disaster (again, check out the video), I read the instructions (should have done that first) and found that in order to make the material waterproof, you need to buy a separate water bladder to go inside the PKB.  I couldn’t figure out where to buy the water bladder, but really, when you do the math, a gallon of water only weights 8 pounds, so water is probably not your best option.

I highly recommend PKB – the Portable Kettlebell if you are looking for a fun way to exercise and you want to be able to easily adjust your weight and/or need something portable. The lite version which I am using retails for $49.99. Purchase it from Amazon. I received a complimentary kettlebell for the purpose of review. All opinions are 100% my own.
