More Bookworms, Less Hookworms – Support End7

Ever since I learned how to read, I have been quite a bookworm, as I’m sure you can tell by my weekly book reviews.  Every summer our local library held a summer reading program.  I got a sticker for every book I read and at the end of the summer there was a big party and certificates for the kids who read the most books.  One summer I read 66!!

Did you know that worldwide over 500 million children are infected with neglected tropical diseases such as hookworm?  Instead of being able to walk to school, concentrate in class and socialize with friends, children with neglected tropical diseases suffer from severe anemia, malnutrition, fevers and intestinal pain caused by these often chronic and simultaneous infections.

End7 is on a mission to see the end of 7 Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) by 2020.  They have a simple solution.  All it takes is a packet of pills and all it costs is 50¢ to treat and protect one child for one year.

For a donation as small as $5 you can help treat 10 children.
