Some days I wish I had a crystal ball (or at least believed in crystal balls). Our life has been pretty chaotic lately and I’d just like to know when it will ease up. A couple of weeks ago Bud had an emotional crisis. He is doing much better now, but his condition is still very up and down. Art was supposed to leave for another month of training in Oregon, but we had two house inspections and now he is fixing my car. And it seems more things need fixing on my car than we originally thought. So he is hoping to leave by this coming weekend.
I want to make plans and think about the future, but at times like these I need to remember who is in control. And it’s not me.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
So although our life is a little upside down, I’m not afraid. Just a little short-sighted. And that’s a good thing. I’m taking it day by day.
Are you going through a chaotic period in your life? Don’t try to look too far ahead. Remember who is guiding you through. He knows the way. Trust Him.
