When I started blogging regularly, back in October of last year, my main goal was to see if I could find enough to write about once a week.  I began with personal reflections and moved on to stories about our family.

When I decided to go “professional” in January, I switched to 3 days a week, adding recipes on Wednesdays.  But after awhile I found it was difficult to find enough famlly-related stories to tell twice a week.

I had recently read a book about the events surrounding my father’s death, and I thought it would make a good review, as well as tie-in with my family stories.  I took a chance and emailed the author, explaining who I was and that I would love to interview him.  To my surprise, he agreed!!  The result was my first book review/author interview (Brandishing).  I followed that with two other books by authors I knew or was friends with, and then found out about virtual book tours and got myself assigned to a few of those.  Pretty soon I was doing a book review almost every Friday!!

Now, I still do book reviews almost every Friday, and I get the books from a wide variety of sources.  It’s one of the most fun parts of blogging and I feel so blessed to have stumbled into it!!

Consequences (Guardian Trilogy: Book 3) by Liz Schulte:Fantasy.  This is the sequel to Choices, which I reviewed back in May.
