I’ve had a few questions lately about the status of my resource book on bullying. All the interviews are done (for now) and I am less than two weeks away from the proposal being done. Then it is off to a writer friend for a critique, most likely a rewrite, then we can start shopping it around!! It is so exciting to be getting this close.
I have learned a lot along the way. I’ve learned how to interview, how to listen better, how to write a book proposal, among other things. I’ve met so many new people and made some wonderful new friends.
I just want to thank everyone who has helped make this project possible. You know who you are – whether you graciously agreed to an interview or just gave me moral support, I couldn’t have done it without you!!
I hope to be updating you by the end of the year that the book is finally being shopped around!!
For those of you who are new to the blog – an explanation: After our family went through some very difficult bullying experiences, which I have blogged about (When Older Children are Bullied: A Mother’s Story, and Cyberbullying: A Mother’s Story), I decided to do a little more research. I discovered that although there are many books on the different aspects of bullying, there is no one comprehensive resource that covers the issues of why we bully, how it affects us and what we can do about it. So I reached out to others who had been bullied, started doing interviews, and The Bullying Book was born.
